Leifeng Pagoda is a historical and cultural symbol of Hangzhou. It was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. It has gone through thousands of years of vicissitudes and witnessed the historical changes of Hangzhou. It was rebuilt in 2002 and presented to the world with a brand new look.
Leifeng Pagoda adopts the traditional wooden structure pavilion style, with five floors on the outside and eight floors on the inside. There are eight corners on the top of the tower, and the top of the treasure gourd on the top of the tower is straight into the sky, which looks solemn and sacred.
Leifeng Pagoda is closely connected with the famous Chinese folk legend "The Legend of the White Snake". The legendary White Snake was trapped under the Leifeng Pagoda by the monk Fahai until Xu Xian cut off the tower chain and White Snake was able to see the light of day again. This legend makes Leifeng Pagoda full of mystery.
Leifeng Pagoda is surrounded by green trees, birds and flowers, and is a good place for tourists to take a leisurely stroll. Standing on the top of the tower, you can also overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire West Lake, which makes people feel relaxed and happy.
