#Natural Inspiration# Yuanyang Rice Terraces

At the southern end of Yunnan, China, the Yuanyang Rice Terraces are like a grand and exquisite painting of the earth, showing breathtaking beauty and magic.

The Yuanyang Rice Terraces are built on the mountain and follow the trend. The scattered rice fields are like the steps of the earth, stretching endlessly. From the valley to the top of the mountain, from this mountain to that mountain, layer upon layer, endless, as if it is a masterpiece carefully carved by God on the earth.

In the early morning, when the first ray of sunlight shines on the terraces, the whole world seems to be lit up. In the clouds and mist, the golden light penetrates the mist and reflects on the sparkling water, like a dream. At this time, the terraces are like huge mirrors, reflecting the color and light of the sky, which is beautiful.

At dusk, the afterglow of the setting sun dyes the terraces with a warm orange halo. The figures of the people working on the ridges are elongated in the afterglow, forming a poetic pastoral painting. In the distant village, smoke rises from the cooking, which contrasts with the terraces and is full of the breath of life.

Yuanyang Terraces have different charms in different seasons. In spring, the water-retaining terraces are like countless silver mirrors, shining with the light of hope; in summer, the green seedlings grow vigorously, bringing vitality; in autumn, the golden rice ears sway in the wind, telling the joy of the harvest; in winter, the water-filled terraces are looming in the hazy mist, like a fairyland.

Yuanyang Terraces are not only a miracle of agricultural production, but also a model of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. It carries the wisdom and diligence of the Hani people, witnesses the changes of the years, and has become an eternal artistic treasure on the earth.

We took this as inspiration and designed a tray using golden nanmu wood.
